Time Extensions
Public bodies must email the appropriate time extension forms to info@oipc.bc.ca to apply for permission to extend the time for responding to an access request under Section 10(2) of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FIPPA).

Time extension decisions will be made based on the information provided, therefore public bodies should ensure the information supplied on this form is complete and accurate. For assistance in completing your time extension request, consult Time Extension Guidelines for Public Bodies
Privacy Breaches
Public bodies are required to report privacy breaches that could reasonably be expected to result in significant harm to the affected individuals and to the OIPC.
The preferred method for public bodies to report privacy breaches is by using our online form. Public bodies can also submit reports by emailing a privacy breach checklist to info@oipc.bc.ca
