Strategic Priorities

In 2025, the OIPC held extensive internal and external consultations across British Columbia to learn what matters most to people in this province in the office’s mandated areas of privacy and access to information.

Trust in the Age of Information: The Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for BC’s Strategic Plan 2025-2028 reflects what we heard and how we are going to address those priorities over three years.

The plan is built around three core strategic priorities, guided by our values and vision:

Values: Impartiality, expertise, dedication, respect, innovation

Vision: A province where people in BC have protection of their rights to access to information, privacy and transparency and that those protections enable them to achieve their aspirations and participate in a democratic society.
